ComStar’s Piranha II is an industrial strength crystal drain cleaner with aluminum chips. Its dry non-fuming formula is safe on fine fixtures, chrome, brass, metal, and plastic pipes. Piranha II contains aluminum chips which allows it to be used in cold water. When these aluminum chips and sodium hydroxide beads come in contact with cold water, the water will heat up. Piranha II instantly dissolves grease, hair, and root growth in sewer lines without harming septic tanks or cesspools. Piranha II will actually enhance the growth of active bacteria in grease traps and septic tanks if used regularly. Despite its strength, Piranha II is environmentally safe, biodegradable, and can be stored indefinitely without danger of escaping odors. Because Piranha II is odorless, it’s a great product for homes, schools, hospitals, cafeterias and restaurants. Piranha II can be made to any desired strength with dilution.

Small Drains:
Slow Moving Drains:
- Let hot water run to warm pipes
- Add one cup of Piranha II into drain opening
- Let hot water run until it is dissolved
- Let Piranha II stand for one minute
- Flush with hot water
Completely Clogged Drains:
- Dissolve one cup of Piranha II with 1-2 cups of water in plastic pail
- Pour into stopped drain
- Leave overnight if possible
- Flush with warm water
To keep drains free flowing, add 1/2 to 1 cup of Piranha II per month.
Grease Traps:
Use 2lbs. of Piranha II for each 100 gallons repeatedly to keep grease and suspended solids in liquid form.
- Pour Piranha II into any drain leading to grease trap
- Run hot water to dissolve it
- Allow Piranha II to stand in grease trap as long as possible--overnight for best results
Septic Tanks:
To prevent costly plumbing, use 6 lbs. of Piranha II to start immediate bacteria action in a 500 gallon capacity septic tank.
Add 6 lbs. of Piranha II once a year to prevent build-up of grease, solid waste, and root growth.
