ProFrost CI-50
ProFrost Heat Transfer Liquid
ComStar's ProFrost is a premium industrial coolant containing proplyene glycol and advanced corrosion inhibitor packages specifically engineered to prevent internal corrosion and system clog-ups. These issues are commonly caused by chemicals and minerals that may be present in the water circulating within operating systems.
- Heat Transfer System Compatability: ProFrost is formulated for optimal performance and safety. It is a food-grade propylene glycol, making it suitable for industrial heat transfer systems used in food and pharmaceutical processing facilities. However, it is not intended as a food or pharmaceutical additive.
- Color Inhibitor: The color is added to help determine if and where there is a leak.
- MRI Compatibility: ProFrost is suitable for use in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems, providing consistent thermal management in critical medical environments.
Plain glycols—with no corrosion inhibitor package are more corrosive to a system thereby reducing the system’s performance and life span. Most Automobile antifreeze is made with Ethylene Glycol which is toxic and include inhibitors that react and form insulating layers on heat exchange surfaces (thus reducing energy efficiency) and for these reasons should not be used outside of an automotive application. It provides up to -30 degrees Fahrenheit freeze protection.
