Color Coded Boiler Water Treatment
ComStar’s Steam Clean is a color-coded boiler water treatment for preventing priming, foaming, and surging. It works like a sponge to absorb any cutting oil, grease, sludge, or organic algae that has prevented boiling and caused violent shaking by sitting on top of boiler water. By doing this, Steam Clean allows for steam to escape properly in order to prevent priming and surging. It also eliminates pipe noises, provides dry steam, and improves heat transfer for more uniform radiation. Steam Clean is easy to use, and does not require blowing off or draining the boiler system. It works while the boiler operates. Steam Clean’s formula assures that the boiler water has been cured with its bright lime green colored indicator. If the indicator is still orange, it means that your system requires more Steam Clean. Steam Clean is environmentally safe, completely natural, and non-toxic. It will not swell seals and can be used on a regular basis. Use one can of Steam Clean for each 700 feet of boiler rating.

Steam Clean
High Pressure Boilers: Use one bottle of Steam Clean for each 6 HP. For boilers rated 10,000 feet or over, use one can per 1,000 feet.
Directions:
- Lower pressure to zero
- Introduce Steam Clean into system through Pop Off Safety Valve. To make pouring easier, Steam Clean can be mixed with water before introducing it into boiler.
- Keep adding Steam Clean until boiler water turns light green
- Replace Safety Valve
- Fire boiler
New Installations: Use Steam Clean to absorb any excess processing oils and putty used in the manufacturing of boilers.
